Even though facial hair removal is a personal choice, there’s no denying it has a multitude of skincare benefits. Getting rid of your peach fuzz helps remove dead skin cells, makes your face glow, and enables flawless makeup application. Now, while laser hair removal may promise you long-lasting results, opting for it may not always be feasible. This is why we have made a list of five facial hair removal home remedies for effortless facial hair removal without spending big moolah. Check them out:

Facial Hair Removal: Home Remedies

Twitter

Facial hair removal for women has been a taboo topic for ages. But thanks to beauty bloggers like Huda Kattan, it has been trending on social media. With so many influencers raving about it, how about we give it a try? If you’re wondering where to start, you can give these home remedies for facial hair removal a try:

Shaving

The easiest, quickest, and most hassle-free way to remove facial hair is to shave it off with a razor. Simply hold your skin taut, keep the razor at a 45-degree angle, and go patch by patch. Remember to use a shaving gel to reduce friction and shave in the direction of the hair growth for a closer finish. Apply a soothing gel to calm your skin and finish off by nourishing your skin with a moisturiser.

Waxing

Waxing is effective for facial hair removal, but it has a couple of side effects. It can render your facial skin loose and lead to burns and rashes. However, you can use cold wax to avoid burns. All you need to do is apply wax in the direction of your hair growth and massage the strip onto the wax using your fingers (move in the direction of the hair growth). Pull the strip off in the opposite direction and you’d be done!

Sugaring

Sugaring is the age-old method of using a paste of sugar, lemon juice, and water for hair removal. It is gentler on the skin as compared to waxing. You can try this at home by preparing a viscous mixture and warming it up to your body’s temperature. Apply a layer of it in the direction opposite to that of your hair growth, let it dry, and then flick it off patch by patch. As the paste is sticky, it sticks to your body’s hair and pulls it out when pulled when.

Good-Old Ubtan For The Win

A mix of gram flour, milk, and turmeric has been a solution to most skincare probs. Guess what? It is also one of the best facial hair removal home remedies. All you need to do is make a paste with a teaspoon of gram flour, two teaspoons of milk, and a pinch of turmeric. Apply a thin, even layer on your face, let it dry, and remove the dried paste by rubbing it gently. You will notice the fine hair coming out as you rub your face. Doing this twice a week can give you a glabrous, glowing face in about three-four months.

Cornstarch & Egg

Make your own peel-off mask at home by mixing one egg’s white portion with a teaspoon of cornstarch. Apply a thick layer of this paste on the face and let it dry. While the egg white will nourish the skin, cornstarch will remove the hair along with dead skin cells. Remove it like a regular peel-off mask and watch the fine hair come out.
